How many other examples do we have of Ohio candidates referencing the blogosphere, and in particular forums like Meet the Bloggers, in order to reach voters?

    Jill,

In this post at the campaign blog I’ve tried to list the discussions and interviews I’ve had with bloggers. It may not look like a lot, but if you’re out walking the neighborhood every evening (& working to pay the mortgage during the day) there’s not an awful lot of time left.

Conversations with bloggers are much closer to the talks I have with voters at their doorsteps than any of the press interviews I’ve done so far. The press studies the issues pretty thoroughly, but bloggers bring a humanity to the discussion that most members of the press try to avoid. With a blogger I can discuss not only what I want to do, but why, and what brought me to this point.

Jimmy – I think your impressions are exactly right. And I think those things are all good and what makes blogging valuable. Thanks for reading and commenting.
