Okay – I made it in – I fed everyone in my family – the dishes will be there when I get back – the press table was GONE – they had nothing on me – but a nice tall woman who said she was the sleonard who had emailed with Wendell told me I could go in – and I saw Anastasia P.

It’s warm – not so loud yet – not back to the doors but very full. Mark Naymik is supposedly here somewhere behind me. And Jerid is supposedly here – I haven’t seen anyone else.

Now I just have to hope that they don’t drag my car away like they were doing to the car that had been in my spot. The tow guy – fascinating – said, you here for Obama? I said yeah. He said, “I wouldn’t want to be the first black president, no way. Just like Kennedy.”

Wow – I hope that’s not prescient.

You guys get press access? You North easterners really have it made. I have a lot more respect for the Obama camp for that though.

    David, stick with us. :)

Just teasing – Wendell Robinson apparently made some contacts. Yes, Obama’s camp is VERY savvy when it comes to word of mouth stuff – they’re not afraid of it, as far as what if someone writes something not nice. People are going to write not nice stuff to begin with – it’s not like the MSM is so friendly and kind. I don’t see how campaigns lose if they show a matter of fact attitude toward bloggers.

I figured it was probably a case of good contacts but it’s still pretty remarkable. Chalk up another point for citizen journalism.

Thanks, David – it is really cool and I couldn’t have done it by myself. THAT’S what’s really cool – people think of bloggers as loners in Pjs in basements. Last night proves again just how wrong that is. Bloggers are almost the opposite – they’re the ones who act.
