Do not skip this excellent post by the premier SCOTUS Blog blogger, Lyle Denniston (ooo and he’s a Georgetown grad). He is at the top rung of how wonderful blog posts can be. Okay, so I’m a geeky law school permanent student kind of person – what can I say? I think he does an awesome job at a really tough gig.

Lyle covered the U.S. Supreme Court as a veteran for the Baltimore Sun when I was a rookie just breaking onto that beat, and he was more approachable for advice than any of the other two dozen beat writers in the press room. I’ll always remember him for that. Come to think of it, I ought to drop him a note and thank him for it.
