What about public health and safety? Please have compassion on the people!

Ah – but did you laugh? :)

Actually, I could only wince and shift uncomfortably in my chair while the gruesome spectacle unfolded.

    We laughed. Loved Patrick’s hair!

Daniel – I’ve never met you, but I don’t believe you for an instant. I know you were laughing.

His hair? Who was looking at his hair?

Sorry to disappoint. No laughing, I swear. But I did link to your blog in the comments at WoM so that others could see. Okay, I just happened to see a story out of Florida that a dancer revived her passed out customer. Perhaps that, alone, makes a “Dancers for Democracy” shirt worthwhile, despite the pink color. I currently weigh 240 lbs. Is there a t-shirt large enough for me? I don’t exactly support the provisions of the ballot proposal they’re petitioning for, but I didn’t exactly support the legislation that prompted the petition drive, either.

No laughing? Not even once? Wow. Well, I get almost apoplectic watching it, every single time. I’ll have to think about that.

Now you know – that dancer, under the current rules, might get arrested for saving the guy if it happened here, right?

Thanks for being so honest re: supporting/not supporting. I think we’re actually more or less in the same camp on this one.

I googled to see if I could get a link for you. Try this:

I guess she could have saved a life if she were in Ohio, because she was performing at the customer’s home. The restrictions in Ohio are leveled directly at what takes place in the night clubs that offer adult entertainment. Jason Sonenshein predicted that the more restrictive the laws Ohio passes aimed at the night clubs, the more common a phenomenon it would be for dancers to seek opportunities to make money performing in private homes rather than in the clubs.

I guess you could say that Ohio’s dancers will not be able to administer CPR within the walls of adult-oriented businesses, but they could do so elsewhere.
