Bai&#039;s book is probably fascinating.  &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;The internal Dem debate described in this Times review was echoed in the 38-comment throwdown on BSB last weekend about Open Left tracking Ohio &quot;Bush Dogs&quot; like Mike Vick on a pit bull.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;If Bai&#039;s premise is that Dems need new vision and policies as well as new communication tools and think tanks to match and keep beating the wingnuts, then he&#039;s dead on.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Doesn&#039;t mean you can&#039;t keep bashing Bush on Iraq quagmire.  It means you gotta come up with some news approaches to jobs, education, energy etc especially in Ohio -- and just maybe you have to (gasp) work with Republicans.  &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Tip:  Keep watching Ted Strickland. He gets it.</description>
