From the Cincinnati Enquirer:

Coulter delivered a 35-minute speech that bounced from topic to topic – from Sen. Larry Craig’s bust in a Minnesota airport bathroom to some Clinton bashing, and her argument that Democrats want the U.S. to lose the war on terrorism.

The speech was a series of one-liners, the kind she uses regularly on the cable talk show circuits…

…there was no hooting and hollering from the audience and very little applause or laughter at her one-liners either.

Most interesting facts about her presentation:

-”The Xavier College Republican Club paid Coulter $20,000 – all of it raised through private donations – to speak in a closed-off, 3,000-seat section of the basketball arena.”  Attendance was 1,273.

-The Counter-Coulter groups raised more than $26,000 and pulled in about 200 people to celebrate across from the arena.

-She spoke for 35 minutes – so that would be $571 per minute. The article doesn’t indicate whether she took questions later.

-Her speech was a series of one-liners.

Hmm.  According to Wikipedia, she describes herself as a polemicist. If someone would pay me $571/minute to be a polemicist, I’d give speeched full of one-liners that wouldn’t make people clap or smile too.

Good. That was the longest 15 minutes of fame … still that’s a lot of money from not very many folks.

Oh, well. You know what they say about a fool and his money… ja?
