I apologize in advance to anyone coming here expecting to find highbrow, overly long and overwrought explanations of things no one else cares about.
But this tip was just too good to keep to myself, even though I won’t be using it.
Ahem. Clearing my throat.
So, the joke begins, how do you know you’ve spent too much time tinkering with your blog?
You know you’ve spent too much time tinkering with your blog when you find something called the Douche Bag plugin and decide that it must be the first post of the work week.
George, Jerid, Scott P – everyone else who has ever actually typed or thought of typing those words in regard to a comment or two, in appreciation for all the support you’ve given me and hopefully will continue to provide, I hereby provide you with The Douche Bag Plugin.
Oh – and we’ll now return to our regular, lengthy, stream of my consciousness posting.

Nice…..no longer a blogspot. i own my .com website, but havent done the transfer yet.
Thanks, Ben.
Piece of cake. (cough cough cough) Didn’t need any help at all! (lie lie lie)
Definitely let me know if you use this particular plugin though.
Is there anything readers can plug-in to eliminate Jill’s “douche-bag” posts from being included on both the leftyblogs.com and blognetnews.com aggregators ??
I legitimately wonder if Jill has been inflating her site statistics similar to how Paul Ackerman recently exposed the BS Blog as doing. There simply aren’t enough Pepper Pike people, or similar, to justify Jill’s blognetnews.com “influence ranking.”
Maybe it’s the statewide Jewish Women’s network that boosts her rankings because I simply don’t get why Jill makes nearly every one of her blog posts have some sort of Jewish or woman’s angle.
Maybe I should start making all sorts of references to the fact that I’m a white anglo saxton male… but I digress. If I did that, I’d be strung-up or crucified (or both) by the Jewish and feminist communities.
Why is it that Jill can cram tons of Jewish and women’s rhetoric down our collective throats, yet everyday average white anglo-saxton males often get tagged as “bigots” and/or “sexists” ???
I’m sick to death of Jill’s Jewish BS and the way she hammers irrelevant women’s issues all the time. Maybe this is simply something that elitist Pepper Piker Jewish women do for kicks, but I’m not entertained or impressed.
Dave! You found me! Thanks for the inaugural comment. Nice to know some things never change. And L’shana tovah to you too.
Too funny. Remind me to show you how to put IP, email addresses and names into the Options -> Discussion -> Moderation/Blacklist section of WordPress…
I have to put up a policies thing first though, George – due process and all, no matter how erroneous someone’s comment might be.
Oh boy, can’t wait to play with it over at BSB. Just hope it doesn’t censor the admin.
PS. one complaint with the new site. Didn’t you used to have time stamps on your posts? I liked that.
And Hickman, take your meds.
Hey Jerid – I agree re: the timestamp thingy. I checked out both The WOM Blog and Glass City Jungle and they don’t have the time on the posts either. I do need to figure out something for that – I agree, I really liked that feature in, you know – that other platform.
Jerid! I did it. Check it out. Got the timestamp into the line at the end of each post. Will play with the date and time order another time. I love a challenge.
Unapproval notice: I’ll post these when I have chosen to retain a comment but disapprove it. I’ve unapproved a comment by Dave Hickman who is handing out awards. But he’ll have to create his own blog or website or other mechanism for that. It won’t be happening here.
Ditto that last comment.
Sooo… I am a total newbie. I came here b/c the DB tool sounded like an easy first acquisition that I have a good chance of using someday. This is the first spot I have visited since downloading the MegaManager and the megaupload toolbar. I have a feeling I may get DB’d myself a few times if I don’t humbly ask to be pointed in the right direction… And I have a TON of Questions…Do I have to have a website to post on replies, or is it just a good idea for marketing purposes?>? (or another benefit or angle that I am ignorant to?) And as far as entering my E-mail address, can i use a site like example@bugmenot.com to use disposable E-mails?? I am brand new to blogging, creating web traffic, the concept of the RSS feed, and using torrents… any advice or heads ups?
Christopher – I wish I had better answers for you. The best thing to do is to just jump in and ask questions and google for answers if you don’t know someone who knows. I haven’t used or heard of mega manager or megaupload! Can’t help you there. I think with WordPress you do need an email but it can be anything – gmail, yahoo whatever – it’s never revealed. It’s for spam purposes and I don’t look at them unless I have to for some reason. But yeah – I don’t see why you can’t use the bugmenot thing – I don’t know though.
Websites are for whatever you want if you want. Many people who comment here do not have websites at all.
Good luck and let us know how you do and when you have a site for us to check out.
