Georgetown’s alumni office called as we were leaving the house last night for services, and my husband gently reminded the kid on the other end of the line that 10% of its student population is Jewish and they’d have to ask me for money another time.
Then I got a call to re-schedule an appointment just a few minutes ago – from a doctor’s office, and the doctor is Jewish.
But despite these minor incursions into the quiet joy that is Rosh Hashana, there’s this ray of hope and laughter as some creative kids grafted a clever promo for Barack Obama and celebrate the holiday. Be sure to watch until the end. And Shana Tovah to everyone.
