Ironically, on the very day that Michelle Malkin writes a one-note screed about her one-dimensional approach to mothering, mediator Max Factor III is presenting a lecture at Case Western’s law school titled, “Hardball Negotiating Tactics: Why They Work and How They Can Fail So Badly.” Unfortunately, it’s just ending now, although there’s a reception that’s followed it.

You can read more about Factor’s approach here.

And, just for Michelle, in case her 24/7 lion act loses its impact (read: when all you do is yell, does anyone really listen or hear you anymore?), try this link from Factor’s site. Be forewarned, though - that site uses the words “conflict” and “resolution,” a lot. Might be scary for someone who prefers to be all bully all the time.

Hi Jill. Yes, you can comment on her site but you have to be logged in and I don’t want to give her any SEO. What kind of crap are they espousing? How do they know what Sally Field’s style of mothering is? It’s not even pertinent. How amazing to me that free speech is once again reduced to a ‘them or us’ mentality. How can anyone complain that she said women would rule in a way that included more diplomacy and other methods of conflict resolution? I think it’s better if I don’t comment there lol.

Carole - I’m with you, not with them. ;) That’s a joke, sort of.

Yeah, you know - I’ve really really really lived my life trying to look at both or all sides. And I have met people who are nearly incapable of feeling empathy for others. But frankly, I think that’s a real deficit in relating to people.

Malkin seems to have some serious anger. And seriously, I cannot, simply cannot imagine being literally ferocious 24/7. What kind of environment does that foster? And that she can’t write one sentence or paragraph that pays homage to the FEELING even if not the reality that yeah, you know what - if more women were in charge, there’s a damn good chance things would be a lot different and very possibly better.

We may never know - but then again, maybe we will. :)
