If I was that kid, the moment I got out of prison, I'd plan on breaking both of Mr. Polensek's legs....maybe then we'll see how tough he really is!

"<i>is he amenable to any other life, at all?</i>"

Perhaps, perhaps not. However, it seems a bit counterproductive to force Mr. Winston to associate with criminals for at least the next 6 months, and then brand him with a felony record that will make it harder for him to find legitimate employment. It's almost as if the State of Ohio is trying to steer Mr. Winston away from any other life.

Of course, there's a simple way to put people like Mr. Winston (and the people up the supply chain who are making the real money) out of business, and replace them with folks who are about as threatening as your local tobacconist or beer distributor.

I am frequently amazed at just how much people can change, transform their lives. I don't believe change occurs without action and more importantly, without some model from which the tools for change can be learned....but I have witnessed it firsthand.
