I worked on this story over the summer and thoroughly enjoyed working with the editors.  Often, I’ve not had to re-write my work and that always worries me – that no one is really reading it, since I’m sure I’ve got errors.  But the C & E editors read, asked questions, had me supply back-up and so on.  It was a good experience from a writer’s perspective.

    From the article:

[Ohio Democratic Party Communications Director Randy] Borntrager said that many voters feel the GOP “has veered extremely right and now it seems to be a party of hate and divisiveness instead of a party that gets done [sic].”

I’m curious. Does Mr. Borntrager have any data, e.g., voter surveys, to support his statement? If so, among the voters who characterized the GOP as a “party of hate,” how many were already committed Democrats?
