It was not easy, but I found Cleveland Magazine’s list of Interesting People (scroll down to where it says “Features” on the left-hand side).

Dan Moulthrop is the only one I can really say “I know.”

I’ve met Phillip Morris and I know of Angelin Chang (my son’s former viola teacher played with Chang in the ensemble that supported Chang in her Grammy-winning work), Peter Lawson Jones (to whom I’ve been introduced but I don’t know him) and Barbara Snyder. And I recognize a few other names like most Clevelanders might (Dick Goddard, Jack Marschall).

That’s it though.

You?

Well, you would be on my list of interesting people. I don’t know any of the people on that list most likely since I don’t live in Cleveland.

    :-)

    Aw, shucks! :) Ditto that.

It’s just so funny. What’s interesting is so subjective. They need to re-title the list because it’s more like a “who you should know by name” or something. Or, who you should know is out there working to enrich our area. I am not someone who uses interesting to describe a gift I got that I really don’t like. Interesting is a very important word! I mean, the most evil and the most glorious people are “interesting” – you know?

Oh well. Just my subjective 1/2 cent!

How many interesting people do I know? A lot — but they are not on that list. I am happy with my list, thank you.

Ditto that, Valdis, being happy with my list – but I wouldn’t mind checking out yours. :)

……..every person I know is interesting, in their own “quirky” way. But do they make the list, nah…. no need. Who needs a stinkin list?

Totally, Muley! Thanks for reminding – I don’t know why these things still sucker me in!! :)

Who needs a stinkin’ list? Every magazine needs a list. Lists are interesting. :)

And who would know better than you, Steve? ;) Thanks for stopping by – you know we all like to read and as well as deconstruct those things. That’s why they keep coming back.

My Oregon list wouldn’t mean a thing here, but you got me thinking about it and it astonished me for a small town rural hick, there’s a bunch of names well known in this state (mostly political) for personal first name basis. Blogging has plugged me into another whole list of people.

I agree about how blogging can exponentially increase one’s circle, or, at a minimum, who you learn about/hear about. I love that.
