I’ll have to eat a big lunch to get through this debate transcript from last night’s debate in Nevada between Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and John Edwards, Tim Russert, Brian Williams and Natalie Morales moderating.  Or maybe not?

in my humble, ignorant opionion, watching a lineup of liars and fools making fools of us is a perfect way to throw up. not a one of them has even a basic regard for america. a friend of mine once told me he thought nothing was generated except by sex, money or power. each can be a vice or a virtue. i think in american politics, each is always a vice. i hope you agree when i say we’re a vain, self-centered, greedy lot. so are the men and the woman running for president. maybe the job is just too big, that’s there are too many variables and influences. whatever, for a candidate to promise the promised land is pure, distilled bullshit. ‘course, that’s just my opinion. john tidyman

Well – I’m not sure I follow or agree with most of the comment you left, but I do agree with the idea that candidates shouldn’t promise the promised land but also people should know better than to believe that promise, without some major league caveats.
