Disclosure: I love Margaret, and not just because she suggested I could be a freelancer and she made her family sit through an entire Passover seder at my house, a seder that was also attended by my entire family (brothers, parents – the whole clan).  Now, everyday when you click here, you pay for me listening to her.

Finally, I get to return to you her excellent writing and reporting skills as applied to politics.  I thank her and the PD for letting her write this kind of piece.  She is a standout, as a person and a professional.

Regarding The Point going on hiatus, I can’t say it any better than one guru in new media expressed it to me, “Jeez-us…. Are they kidding?”

Here’s the story that The Point posted as to why, after launching just two days ago, the Akron Beacon Journal/Ohio.com has felt compelled to put it on hiatus.

Meanwhile, the Plain Dealer’s political website, OPEN, has a new look. I like this Ohio voter demographics page. As for the content, looks like all the usual suspects – for now (no, I don’t know anything you don’t know).

I’ll have more to write when I’m not in pain – I’m about to go to la-la-land courtesy of a muscle relaxant because I injured my back and can’t move.  Seriously.  But I thank God for my husband and health insurance.  And also, a very untimely death of someone who was important in an unusual way in my family’s life in the last 24 hours has me thankful for only having back pain.
