Things have been somewhat quiet lately on the religion and politics front in the current battles to get the nominations for the general presidential election of 2008. But fully expect that to change once the nominees are finalized.

    My 15-year-old son was, ironically, working on biology homework while I was watching coverage of one of the primaries and he was mystified by Mike Huckabee being a creationist. There were a few other faith references to other candidates. And then he asked:

    “When did religion become so in your face? Isn’t it supposed to be a private matter?”
