From the Cleveland Jewish News (annotated; read the article for all the text):
Democrat Shoshana Ault of Parma wavered between Clinton and Obama until right before she voted. Her decision to vote for Obama, she says, was in large part due to reading about his stance on Israel in the CJN last week….
Similarly, until Democrat Joe Pollak, 55, walked into the polling booth, the South Euclid resident was not sure which candidate deserved his vote. “Both of them have plusses and minuses, but ultimately I chose Hillary because I felt she had a better shot at beating McCain in the fall.”
Cleveland Heights resident Jeremy Ginsberg, 33, voted for Obama, but as an independent, he is unsure whether he will vote for a Democrat or McCain in November. “I wanted a winner so we could move on already and not have Hillary and Obama going at each other for another two months.”
Avrohon Henfield, 55, a registered Democrat, was pleased with the results of the Ohio primary because he voted for Hillary….
Although Bryan Farkas is a Republican [35 year old attorney and Young Israel congregant], he cast his vote for Hillary Clinton in Tuesday’s primary. Obama, he feels, is the weakest candidate on Israel. “He wants to speak to terrorist states like Iran without any preconditions,” says Farkas incredulously. “My number one priority is foreign policy and security for the U.S. and Israel.”…
University Heights resident Dani Horwitz, 22, is a determined, committed Republican and a McCain supporter, but he also voted for Hillary on Tuesday….
Roger Kramer, 56, is a registered Republican, but the Shaker Heights resident cast his vote for Clinton because he would prefer the New York Senator to run against McCain….
Kramer, who is active in the Jewish Republican Coalition, says he spoke to many other Republicans who also crossed over and voted for Clinton….
Charlotte Feldman, a Democrat who voted for Clinton, hopes people won’t vote against her in November “because they think Bill will be back in the White House. Hillary is a strong, intelligent woman. Not everyone likes her, but I don’t like to pick a president because of likability. We are not voting for ‘American Idol,’” says the 63-year-old Berea resident….
Democrat Scott Scharf, 43, of Beachwood says he voted for Obama but was not surprised that Hillary Clinton took Ohio….
Hillary supporter Holly Neumann, 41, was “pretty sure” that her candidate would win Ohio and was pleased to see she won Texas in addition….
David Yulish, 48, of Lyndhurst knew he would support the Republican candidate no matter who he was….
Mayfied Heights Democrat Laura Shapiro Kulnane, 37, voted for Obama and was very disappointed that he lost the Ohio primary….
Finally, one voter who declined to be identified, echoed a sentiment shared by a few others. He said he voted for Hillary because “there are so many crazy people out there, I worry that an assassin’s bullet will hit Obama, like it did to Martin Luther King Jr.”
And there you have it. Whatever it is.
