    I agree totally JZ, we need to not let the press get us into the negative mode permanently; although the candidates are letting themselves fall into it as well. I do think she (Powers) should have known better – and why would you make that comment on or off the record? Just dumb

    Power and Obama.

    Maybe those late night phone calls about his book werent’ the same as Bush’s late night calls to Condi.

    Ce Lionne – that’s a very interesting article! Thank you.

    One thing I don’t get is: I’ve read her accounts of how she got involved w/Obama’s campaign and she writes or talks about deciding to go and volunteer at a phone bank. But I’ve seen references, as in the article you site, to how Obama sought her out.

    Any thoughts on that?
