If Eskimos truly do have 40 or more words for snow, I've easily got that many to describe the range of ranting that occurs before I'd get to calling something whining. But I can also screen out the sounds of a house being built in my backyard, the dishwasher, the clothesdryer, three children, the television and the radio while I write. It takes a lot for me to notice. Well – yes – we will have to agree to disagree here.
