The Youngstown Vindicator writes:

In a week or so, Ohio Attorney General Marc Dann will hold a news conference to discuss the sexual harassment scandal that has gripped his office and has jeopardized his political future.

It is to be hoped that Dann will tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth — as he demanded of the Republicans during his investigation of “Coingate” when he was a state senator.

Anything less, and reporters will chew him up and spit him out.

Reporters will do that to him?

Ha – he should be fearing the voters – bloggers included – as well, if not more.

He may be alittle too chewy around the middle. But seeing a hyperactive Attorney General fall from grace is still delicious.

As Edmund Burke once said, “He that accuses all mankind of corruption ought to remember that he is sure to convict only one.” For this occassion, I think that is a fitting quote.

    I agree and conclude.

If the positions are the same and were recorded with a job code then the IRS would or could identify such discrepancies.

When hired a person should be assigned a code that has a clear job description, if two people have the same jobs they should be able to see that, the IRS could run a metric and send warnings to employers if significant variances exist.

These managerial positions are above or outside of a union, which would not allow such a discrepancy.

Having a recorded job code and description would allow for a very valid source of work history, the IRS would not have to disclose pay, but could be a tool to verify actual experience.

You say look a problem and I say look a solution.

I like legislation like this being put out there, it sends a threat to the corporate world adjust the pay or you may get hit with retroactive reimbursements.

However, if the problem is resolved then the courts are relieved of one more deliberation the house and senate have one less agenda.

I could not ask to see everyone’s pay, but I could ask to see everyone’s job codes.

I cant believe how the Ohio Democrats in charge have just sat around and watched this story grow and stay in the news.
