And now... for what might be the last word on this subject...

This video on the Daily Show with John Stewart just about says it all... Sorry: it's 7 minutes long, but it's worth it!

Whoa, do not conclude that I thought Taft and Co. were great for Ohio. Let's be honest here: There are 2 political parties in the USA and either you are in one, or you are out. NOTHING will ever get done b/c of that. NONE have skin in the game. Strickland has done nothing as jobs leave and he either campaigns out of state for Hillary, or churns to imply he is doing something for Ohio. WAKE UP. NOTHING IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO MARC DANN. IT IS ALL IN THE PLAN. And you people thought Taft was a snake???

Indeed. People were screaming about Taft, too. I know I was.

It's interesting to note that both Strickland and Dann have canceled their out-of-town speaking engagements: Srickland to deal with the Dann issue, and Dann canceled his graduation speech at CWRU School of Law May 18th -- to appear as if he's really working.

Then he says this: "If I reach a point where I'm detracting from the office, I'll reconsider [resigning]."

Ummm... Marc... maybe that's why people are asking you to resign... and moving to impeach only the second Ohio elected official to be impeached in our history as a state (the last was an elected judge in 1805). A smart politician knows the signs of the times...

Well, what Nate is ignoring is how Taft and company contributed to their own party members - voters who called themselves Republicans - not voting for them down the ticket due to some odd and outright unelectable choices. So - it's hardly any one party's fault. That's silly.

Well, I *too* could say, "Blame Canada!", but that wouldn't exactly be fair, now would it? We need to remember that in Ohio, voters elect our AG, rather than appoint the position, as the US President does.

To say that *Strickland* "brought in a great team to help Ohio" is therefore a gross misstatement and a total disregard for the facts: Marc Dann ran his own election campaign "to restore faith in Ohio's government."

We could have easily voted Betty Montgomery in for another term (and should have, IMHO -- and I'm "liberal" voter!), and none of this would have happened.

But Ohio voters, in their eminent wisdom (read: illiteracy), voted for Dann because, again according to Dann in his campaign, "we need a change."

Strickland and his administration had nothing to do with it: we could have re-elected Taft (if he had run) and elected Dann and we still would have had the problem we have today, because it was Marc Dann that created this mess, and no one else.

Of course, Taft was an idiot, too...

Golly, Strickland brought in a great team to help Ohio. First, we had Frankie Coleman, then Brunner and her $31MM voting change demand and now the "Marc Dann" show.
I wonder who is next? Golly, this is exactly what Ohio needed; a Keystone Cops administration. Imagine the fact these people were elected with the promise they would help us???

Gang, my other half told me way back in the last election not to vote for Marc Dann because there would be trouble with him. As usual, she was right.

Just about every newspaper in this state has published an editorial calling for his resignation, and of those that haven't yet, they probably will soon.

This guy's a joke. It's too bad we can't simply fire him on the spot -- just like regular employers can (and do).
