I get irritated when I hear people say it's only about the sex with his scheduler (which seems to be the pro-Dann spin in the past few days). It's about so much more than that.

Following up on my post above, Clinton never admitted that he was unprepared to hold the office.

I still can't believe Dann said that. Just amazing.

Dann's conduct is a lot worse than the Clinton/Lewinsky stuff. It goes way beyond Dann's affair with his scheduler. Dann is responsible for hiring guys like Gutierrez and Jennings and for the unprofessional atmosphere, and loss of taxpayer dollars, that those hires created. He has disgraced the office of the Attorney General.

Well just for the record, I didn't. I'm as leftist as anyone you'll find and I thought Clinton was a disgrace to the office and had no one to blame but himself for his problems. Even today I cannot stand to listen to him for more than a few seconds.

Public office is a public trust, after all.

I wouldn't mind having his economy back though at this point. Not at all. Jeez, we could actually afford things like gas and food back then. The dollar was actually worth something. I had health insurance.

I miss those days.

What were you saying about a BJ again?

There is a Sean Stipe on the ballot that one in the 56th House District can vote for instead of Koziura. Thankfully, even if Koziura wins, he won't be able to run for that seat again in 2010 due to term limits.

Dann's behavior cannot be attributed to stupidity. Dann's behavior has been calculating, arrogant, defiant, narcissistic, bullying, lustful, mean-spirited, conspiratorial, condescending, unscrupulous, insensitive, obstructive, opaque, unprofessional, and especially exploitative. He exploited the AG's office for all the perks it could afford him and his Youngstown cronies, including an expensive Dublin condo, luxury vehicles, and women. The women who were the perks weren't groupies, they were SUBORDINATE EMPLOYEES who were EXPECTED to cave in to the indecent proposals of their bosses. One of this wolf pack of co-conspirators of Dann even had the nerve to tell a female employee that she OWED him, that she got the job based on her female anatomy. Dann had to have known all about this stuff. Giving women an income in exchange for sexual favors? That's compelling prostitution! That's PIMPING!!!!

I'm curious about these democrats that want Dann out but were the first people to defend Clinton in the 1990's.

What's the difference?

What has Marc "Dannimal" House done above and beyond what Bill Clinton did as president that has you wanting his resignation? To my knowledge, Marc "Dannimal" House did not commit perjury (Paula Jones). He never attempted an unsolicited grope (Kathleen Willey). He never asked another to commit perjury.

I've been consistent on my belief that any conduct that could cause a public official to be compromised should result in his immediate resignation, impeachment, etc. This includes Mark Foley, Larry Craig, William Jefferson, Ted Kennedy et al.

Yet most of the people I'm reading here were the same people to give BJ Clinton a pass not so long ago.

It will be interesting to see whether the Republicans try to stretch this process out a bit, to keep Dann in office longer.
