Conflate and distract much?

Brian, where I was and what I knew has zero to do with Kevin DeWine's behavior, or Marc Dann's for that matter.

Overly dramatic much?

Strickland's approvals are starting to fade after his ridiculous double talk on his brilliant Club Keno plan and his economic recovery agenda for Ohio is non-existent.

DeWine is doing his job. He's not lying nor is he even over reaching.

Where was Jill a few years ago when Dann only talking about the Noe scandal? Who was the merciless bully then?

The Dann episode is probably going to be the highlight of the year for the GOP. They'll try to milk it for all it's worth. They have to. It's all they've got.

Question: what happened to Bob Bennett?? He's still the chairman of the party, right? I can't believe I'm saying this, but Bennett was much more deft in these kind of situations. DeWine has repeatedly made himself look clumsy in his quotes. First there was his blatant declaration that the Republicans would politicize Dann as an issue in every race come November, and then this statement.

If I were a Republican, I would start asking for Bob Benneet to be the face of the party more, and leave Kevin to hit the books some more. He needs to develop more finesse.

Good luck finding a Republican candidate who will make Ohioans proud of their Attorney General. Been there, done that.

It struck me in 2006, after seeing Dann and Chandra, that the Dems really could have done so much better. I asked myself, was this the best we could do? Now, the Dems will have to put up a very strong candidate, and that's the way it should be, I guess.

Chandra likely would have been better than Dann (though that's a low threshold), and I've seen his name being suggested to replace Dann, but the Dems can't afford to take a chance on someone with no experience running a state office. That's why I hope it's Cordray.

We will see, the investigation may or may not bring up anything additional.

The Inspector general is a governor appointee not an elected official, in so much if the investigation reveals wrong doing then that is non-partisan, conversely not investigating or hiding wrongs would be partisan behavior and and also corrupt.

Investigating could uncover additional problems, but so far, they are more or less improprieties, behavioral and management issues.

Would having a Republican attorney general serve the state well particularly now with this Democratic Governor? Speaking on party’s lines or better yet running for the AG on party lines in November would that be wise?

I have to respect the handling of this by Strickland, he doing what needs done the way it needs to happen. I have confidence he will continue to do so, confidence in any selection he makes for the AG in November. That maybe Tom Winters, for sure Winters will have to make a public statement soon and that will set the stage for November. That’s if he desires the nomination.
