What he said.

More of what they are saying. (hattip Katalusis)

If that’s not resonating with ya, then don’t read this.

And you will definitely not want to read this on MyDD (the audio of which is here, but like I said, if you didn’t like the second link or the third link, you aren’t going to want to listen to that). Here’s a little more on that. Nope - I didn’t know a thing about it.

But if I had and I could, I would have asked Hillary Clinton directly, “Do you support people who say they support you forming groups that promote the active opposition of Barack Obama and advise people to vote for John McCain?”

Then again, I’m also working on a way to ask the Obama campaign how they feel about their supporters saying that sexism doesn’t exist and he doesn’t need to reach out to Democrats who didn’t vote for him.

How Australia sees it, if anyone cares.

For the record, here’s where I stated for the first time that I would not vote for John McCain: 1/15/07.

And re-stated that I would indeed vote for whomever the Dem nominee is: 2/13/08

And again said that I do not support the strategy (although I agree that there has been unacceptable sexism in this election cycle) employed by the Hillary Supporters Count Too Group.

Oh yeah, and here too, calling the approach, “…just dumb, not to mention counter-productive, naive and further aggravating the divide.”

And intimated distaste and disapproval of McCain in these posts:

McCain saying how can we beat the bitch - the Hillary Supporters Count Too don’t seem to remember this YouTube do they?

I think the group must also not know about McCain’s crappy choice of Straight Talk surrogates, who have serious sexism issues, like, ones that end them up in jail for sexual assault.

Where I write that Israel is not a deciding factor for me (for some Jews, they skew Clinton or McCain when they say that Israel is central to them - I’ve never been one of those)

And finally, more on the problem of not listening, all around. I’ve written about that for months.

And for the record, my father, who voted for Clinton in the primary but says he is sorry that he did, has just shrieked in my ear (Whaaaaaaaaaaaat??????????) when I asked, you would never vote for McCain, would you? (for those with reading comprehension problems, that means no - he is not voting for McCain under any circumstances). I gave him and my mom Ohio for Obama shirts (thank you, Kyle). I’ll have to take a photo of them the next time they’re out here.

If you still have questions about who I’ll vote for and support in the general election, well - you know - sit down, shut up and get with the program seems to be a popular rallying cry these days. How’s it workin’ for ya?

Remember Obamas…99 problems…but a BITCH ain’t one directed at Hillary.

So to who ever wrote…McCain saying how can we beat the bitch - the Hillary Supporters Count Too don’t seem to remember this YouTube do they?

Yes we do..remember McCain’s comment but we also remember how during the Iowa victory party Obama and his campaign were playing Jazy Z’s song 99 problems…..but a BITCH ain’t one.

    “C”

This is my blog, so that query was written by me.

I’m guessing you didn’t watch it or don’t know about it because you have the facts wrong.

McCain didn’t say it. One of his female supporters, at a fundraiser, shouted out the question in a room full of other donors and supporters and the room erupted into laughter. McCain didn’t know quite how to react but laughs for a while and then dignifies the question, rather than dissuade the characterization.

I’m not familiar with that song but from what you’ve written, it makes it sound like it’s a good thing that a bitch isn’t viewed as a problem. Since, you know, we wouldn’t want Clinton called a bitch. I don’t quite get it - but again - I don’t know anything about the incident.

    Got a link?

The significance of the song lyric, for those of us paying attention, was the projection of “the Bitch who is running against us is not one of our 99 problems” trope, read:sexist, misogynistic, and chauvinistic regard for a woman’s PLACE.

    DEMOCRATIC SUPPORTERS COUNT TOO
I can’t believe my eyes. CSCT won’t support Obama (and democratic ideals) because their candidate lost? That’s not even close to a reasonable argument if they care about getting our country on the right track.
I have been invested in losing candidates in the past; I know the deep feeling of disappointment and resentment when your pick gets defeated. I, like them, have felt like not voting for the other democrat in the general. But in the end my principles are more important than supporting a republican with whom I share none.
I’m sure that if Obama lost, his supporters would feel the same as CSCT and claim that the outcome was the result of racist acts. Al Sharpton et al would be all over the airwaves calling the Democratic Party racist and urging something stupid and self-defeating like voting for John McCain.
Yes, there is racism and sexism in politics and in America. But is NARAL sexist? Are the four female governor’s supporting Obama sexist? Hillary’s female colleagues in the U.S. Senate? Are the tens of millions of women supporting Obama sexist? Will CSTC really insult all these women by claiming that they are so weak that they have been swayed by a sexist press corps? (By the way, their video “proof” of all the sexist journalists who have made sexist comments about Hillary is, despite their focus on MSNBC, predominated by conservative republicans on Fox, supporters of the actually racist and sexist Republican Party that they would have us support in the general election!) On its face CSCT’s strategy is one of self-loathing and eventually self-destruction.
Sexism didn’t cost Hillary the nomination. Complacency, bad strategy and arrogance are what put the once-prohibitive favorite in second place.
