Republican Jewish Coalition, 6/24/08:
The Cleveland Jewish News offers a thorough review of an appearance by “Richard Baehr, chief political correspondent of American Thinker, a conservative daily Internet publication” on June 24, 2008 at the Cleveland Racquet Club. Based on the article, it sounds as though Baehr pushed several commonly circulated opinions pundits have about how Jews lean, vote or think in relation to John McCain and Barack Obama. My experience is that there’s as much or more to refute each one as there is evidence that the opinions are founded in some semblance of reality.
Baehr stated the importance of the Jewish vote in Ohio this way:
In states with large Jewish populations that are not competitive for Republicans, such as New York and California, the Jewish vote will play no role. But in a handful of swing states with large Jewish populations, a 2% shift “is a big deal,” Baehr says.
In Ohio, Jews are 2% of the electorate; in Pennsylvania, they are 3%; in Nevada, 5%. “Nevada was a 2% win for Bush in 2004,” says Baehr. “In 2004, Jews split 4 to 1 (Kerry to Bush). What if this year they split 3 to 2?”
Interesting presentation, no doubt but nothing new or particularly frightening.
If you’d like to hear Ohio State Rep. Josh Mandel (R-Lyndhurst, 17th) speaking to the group he addressed in California but this time in NEOhio, here’s the information:

Thanks for posting this Jill. I’m going to look into going to this.
I need to tell someone on the front lines of communication that in the Israeli newspaper HAARETZ it states flatly that Obama is not committed to keeping Jerusalem whole and in the hands of Israel but fluctuates from seeming to promise it to wavering and sweeping it away to be negotiated in the future. How can any Jew vote for him or even consider him knowing that his commitment is no commitment at all. He has no idea what Jerusalem looked like before Israel had it in its hands. I do know because my father was in the British/Israeli military police and told us all about it. What a neglected disgrace was Jerusalem when the arabs had part of it… Yes, I would definitely help promote an advertisement on this crucial issue. I am an Israeli american. Someone tell Senator McCain to look at this serious issue now not when it’s too late.
Obama has been relentless in seducing America’s youth, and controlling the media. What’s next? … teaching our children to turn their parents in to the Gestapo? These tactics have been used before … and, they’re right out of the Nazi and Islamic/madrassa play books. Wake up America … the price of freedom is eternal vigilance.
It’s like people are taking crazy pills or something.
