Take a look:

Welcome to the Low Road Express. John McCain used to stand for “straight talk.” Not anymore.
These days John McCain doesn’t seem to stand for anything but negative attacks and false charges against Barack Obama. This isn’t the John McCain we used to know.

There are links to news stories, videos and other press regarding the turn the McCain campaign took when it started its ad that suggests a comparison between Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and Barack Obama.

I’m guessing a few people on McCain’s staff didn’t do too well on the word association and “one of these things is not like the other” portions of the IQ tests.

I’m not sure I get why so many were upset about the Paris Hilton / Britney Spears / Obama ad.

I just love the name “Low Road Express”… very, very clever! And good for them for dedicating a site to debunking negative information.

(And the picture of the Straight Talk Express with a flat tire… I can’t stop giggling!)

Great pick ups on that, lol, CWW. What I really like the most? No personal attacking back silliness. That kind of stuff just won’t go anywhere these days – in part because of blogs, IMO.

Btw, did you read about how the Hiltons are P.O.’ed BIG TIME because they’ve given more than $50K to McCain and the Gop in recent years – and that neg. ad featured Paris as a…well…Paris.

you’re right, one is not like the other. brittney and paris are spoiled little liberal brats and obama is from a church that sings “goddamn america”, mocks white female democratic political rivals, and organizes the south side of chicago into total chaos. one hangs out with people who attempted to blow up the pentagon and the others don’t to my knowledge. totally different. “debunking negative information.” so, if the truth about your candidate happens to be a negative reflection on your candidate then debunk the information (or call the truth a lie)? you people are freakin evil.

that’s right..”debunk the negativity” by calling names instead of addressing the facts. who raised you?

Yo Kevin and Joe – i’m getting a lot pickier about the name-calling crap so consider this a warning – next time, it gets moderated

    Thanks.

btw, the truth is not a personal attack. it is a revelation of character. the truth is either your friend or not so friendly. it’s alot more unfriendly to barack than it is to mccain, although mccain does have some stains. at least he has some mitigating positive factors in his personal history that obama does not have.

@Jill — Awww, that was one of the kindest portrayals I’ve seen of Paris (only one second, she had clothes on and looked coherent) :)

@joe — Is it Britney Spears or Paris Hilton who “hangs out with people who attempted to blow up the pentagon”? Truth needs sources to back it up…

CWW…I believe Joe was referring to Barack Obama as the one who hangs out with people who attempted to blow up the Pentagon. Bill Ayers, a member of the domestic terrorist group the Weathermen, blew up (or tried to) many targets in the US during the Vietnam War. He was quoted as saying

“I don’t regret setting bombs” and “I feel we didn’t do enough”, and, when asked if he would “do it all again” as saying “I don’t want to discount the possibility.

in an article printed on September 10, 2001 in the NY Times.

Obama visited Ayers at his home in the mid-90’s and it has been reported that they are friends…although in politics, I don’t know if you really have friends. Allies is a more appropriate word.
