Just out of curiosity, what is it that makes you think Hillary isn't just as narcisistic as Bill? This is why democracy is good, different opinions lol. And of course you wouldn't be saying that those of us who didn't vote for Clinton were not smart now, would you? :-)

I was watching MSNBC (including Hardball) all day yesterday, and I have to agree with the assessment that there was nothing of the sort until Tweety started his known-for-pot-stirring show.

To his credit, he did shoot down the claim that Obama is a Muslim, which they based on an Indonesian school registration from when Obama was a child. They claimed it was from a Congressional investigation, then backed off when Matthews demanded to see the source, the name of the investigator/subcommittee, etc. The apparent spokeswoman smugly told Matthews to go look it up for himself, at which point he lost his patience with them and found someone else to talk to. Throughout the evening, he expressed amazed disbelief at the "registered Muslim" remark, even though he had sort-of gotten her point wrong. I don't want to defend him too strongly, but he wasn't THAT bad.

However, while I was watching the whole thing, I got the distinct impression that something more was going on. I agree with the assessment that there is probably a small group of genuinely disgruntled Hillary supporters and that they will probably come around, but something about these particular women just didn't sit right with me. I kept thinking about Rush Limbaugh and Operation Chaos.

Jay - Matthews' aggressive inquiries into this segment of unhappy after the primary voters dovetails well with Marie Wilson's statement about men getting scared when women congregate around the water cooler.

IMO.

I don't understand this graph:

Chris Matthews forgetting he is or ever was a journalist - and that men get scared thing Wilson references. But Matthews is only the most obvious example of this media-ready explosion of expression, and the netroots have plenty of upshoots in the same vein.

or what it refers to. Could you re-write it?
