Eugenics is a junk science responsible for the strong undercurrents of Racism in the world today. Its basis in Psychiatry unfortunately legitimized it to an extent generation after generation pass on this dangerous lie. Psychiatry was the first science to start brainwashing the masses with their psuedo theories identifying inferior races. One of the main justifications for segregation was Eugenics. Benjamin Rush came up with the disease called Négritude which he claimed whites could catch. Négritude they claimed was inherited from ancestors with leprosy and that it had turned their skin black. Dr. Rush's portrait still adorns the official seal of the American Psychiatric Association. http://academic.udayton.edu/health/01status/mental01.htm Hitler called American Eugenicist Madison Grant's book The Passing of the Great Race his personal bible. 40% of Psychiatrist joined the Nazi party by choice by 1933. When Psychiatry went on trial for the war crimes of Hitler,a few select Psychiatrists were offered up in fear the entire profession would be taken down. Many Nazi Psychiatrist were sent to the United States and other countries to continue their Eugenics work. The apartheid movement in South Africa was fueled by Eugenics. Huge mental hospitals were built and filled with blacks but they were nothing more than slave labor camps and they were government funded.
