I see no reason for Sarah Palin to give the media the time of day – we know what they think of her by the way they behave! I think there should be one appearance with the campaign manager, where they come out and explain that we see through their bias, that liberals and feminists get softball questions, and conservatives and real women like Sarah get buckshot from “reporters” who are supposed to be objective and just report what they see and hear.

How many undecideds have you spoken with since Palin was chosen? I’ve listened to more than any other group of voters (I can think of at least 10 right off the bat) and to suggest that they don’t watch or care about whether she ever gets off the same stump speech and responds to human interaction or not is absurd.

Why are you being so protective? For the long haul, she needs to get out there, Ben – because when she loses, her failure to get out there will become her legacy, and albatross.

When I say you people, I mean people like you, who write about how she doesnt go on shows like MTP. Its just a talking point. You dont really care either way, like you admitted, it wouldnt change your mind regardless. She isnt going after your vote.

Ben – I’m not sure who you mean by you people. Also – convinced of what – that she’s qualified?

Speaking for myself, you are right that there is nothing that Gov. Palin can say or do that would make me believe she’s qualified to be the vice president or president of this country, but for the sake of her political stock, she needs to do shows like that – AND there are people who might be convinced – I’ve met them – they are undecided.

I’ve written before and I’ll write it again: not just any person can win the elections she’s won. That is an accomplishment to be recognized. But those accomplishments do not signal an ability to lead a country of 300 million people – as VP or president.

Gov. Palin is young in age and in experience as far as being president goes. She should build up all the stock she can – and going on MTP would certainly bulk that up.

Besides, if she is so qualified and ready, there should be no issue. It’s not about doing it for people like me- you are right – as I said. But there are an awful lot of folks who aren’t like me – they need to see her and see whatever it is you say you see in her that leaves you able to sleep at night knowing she’s CIC.

You people wouldnt be convinced if she did go on a MTP like show no matter how she did or what the answers are. There is nothing for her to gain by doing so.

I just posted about this over at BSB, but to sum it up: If she can't (or won't) deal with the press, how can she be expected to deal with diplomacy? Trying to convince the people who watch Meet the Press you're qualified to be VP should be a lot easier than convincing other countries (even our allies) to go along with your positions.

it seems it is no longer the number of employees who report to you but the number of lawyers who provide cover & separate responsibility from reality … shameful … in a time of crisis I would prefer our leaders account for their actions – this is not “much to do about nothing” – we pay taxes & now own a mess – not sure if people realize the depth of the problem – nice post, you obviously care!
