This is just kookie:
Republican strategist Brad Blakeman, responding to a question about how John McCain could square his opposition to wasteful spending with the RNC shelling out over $150,000 on clothes and accessories for Sarah Palin, said that the real outrage is Barack Obama “taking a 767 campaign plane to go visit Grandma.” This is the same grandmother who raised Obama and who is very seriously ill. Blakeman continued, “Forget about the energy that is wasted, what about the hundreds of thousands of dollars to take a private trip when this guy should be humping his bags on a commercial plane or taking a smaller plane. Taking a 767 of campaign money from people who could least afford it is more of an outrage in my opinion.”
Here’s the video – because you really need to hear the intonations. For the record, the host was inappropriate in his laughing out loud – that also was weird.

Seriously? “Humping his bags on a commercial plane?” This is coming from the campaign of a guy whose wife has provided him with private plane service constantly? It doesn’t even take into consideration that Obama can’t exactly travel alone without protection these days. Both Obama and McCain travel everywhere in private planes now for obvious reasons; this sounds like the last-ditch whining of a loser grasping at straws. If the situation were reversed, they’d be huffing and puffing with indignation that ANYONE dared to criticize how McCain chose to go visit his mother.
I find it hard to believe that it cost “hundreds of thousands of dollars to take a private trip”. Unless the plane was fueled with platinum instead of gasoline.
A real american wouldn’t even bother visiting his ailing grandmother. (I hope the sarcasm comes through)
When you’ve got nothing, you go with what you’ve got… I honestly can not understand why people keep being surprised by the things that keep coming up from the McCain camp over the last 2 months.
How is Sarah and Todd Palin FLYING back to Alaska tomorrow to give their depositions for ABUSING POWER IN ALASKA?
Is Sarah, Todd and the 3 children that the campaign supports humping their bags on a commercial plane to take care of this abuse of power matter?
Eloise – I completely forgot about that!
I received an e-mail making the rounds in North Carolina with a picture of said plane, saying what a “disgrace” Obama was because he took the American flag off the tail and put the campaign logo on instead. “Fear for your country!”, it said. I guess these losers think he’s flying around on Air Force One already. Let’s all send him another $10 to pay for the fuel. By their standards we can call it deficit reduction.
Why does he need to take a plane? I thought The One could just flap his angel wings all the way to Hawaii. Hopefully he will lay his healing hands on Granny and cure her.
Melissa-
It’s funny you mention Obama’s “wings” because your horns are showing through clearly.
Why is it family values when a GOP takes time off to be with a sick love one and a waste of dollars when a DEM does the same thing? McCain would be MAVERICK that cares and OBAMA would be lacking in family values if a DEM said something like this. Like OBAMA saids, “They just make things up.” and this guy is a whole new level of gutter politician.
Why is it family values when a GOP takes time off to be with a sick love one and a waste of dollars when a DEM does the same thing?
The common term for it, which has been the calling card for the Repugnican Party for quite some time now is hypocrisy.
Obama has my permission to use what I contributed for this trip.
There are some fairly responsible Republican spokespeople but Blakeman isn’t one. He and his junk have now shown up in OR.
Eloise,
Hate to disappoint you and all of the other Obamarobots, but Sarah Palin and Todd DID NOT fly back to Alaska to give their depositions. Unlike “The Messiah” taking a 767 just for one person to go visit Granny, they gave their depositions in Missouri during a campaign stop.
And if Granny was so close to death’s door, why did “The Missiah? take THREE or FOUR days to fly to her supposed deathbed?
Doesn’t sound like a caring Grandson to me!
When someone in our family falls ill we are there in minutes or an hour.
But “The Messiah” was so despondent that a couple of days ago he was dancing to the music in the streets when his wife, Michelle, was on Ellen the Degenerate’s show. He didn’t look the least bit sad, troubled or concerned about Granny’s health.
If he REALLY did care about her he would have been at her side the minute he heard about her condition.
“The Messiah” cares about TWO people and only TWO people, himself and his greedy wife.
She shed no tears when she put over 150 people out of their jobs in Colorado since they were mostly Hispanics.
She wasn’t the least bit bothered when the hospital she is Vice President of refused to treat an ill man because he couldn’t afford to pay for treatment and he DIED.
This despite the fact that the hospital is supposedly NOT FOR PROFIT and yet made almost a quarter of a BILLION in profits last year and SHE is responsible for “Community Relations” and was paid over $300,000 in salary last year to help people like this man who died.
But she was too busy buying $700 a pair shies from England to be bothered hekping the poor sick peo[;e she is paid to help.
So save your tears for people who really are suffering, like “The Messiah”s half-brother George Obama who lives on ONE DOLLAR A MONTH in a tin shack while “The Messiah” lives in a mansion worth at least $3 MILLION now.
ShyGuy…
Sarah and her boy…went shopping on a taxpayers money(public campaign financing)…that better than flying back to Alaska….
I have no tears…so I do not know what you are talking about…like McCain and Palin says…everyone should keep everything that own…and not share or help anyone….
The dogs have spoken…
