According to the latest Reuters/Zogby poll in Ohio:

A 16-point lead among Independents fuels Obama’s lead in this critical state. He also has a small edge with both men and women, and is ahead among every age group. McCain leads by seven with white voters, but every African-American respondent is voting for Obama.

The telephone interviewing was conducted October 23-26, and the results have a margin of error of 4.1%.  See more here.

These results must be making several Cuyahoga County GOP candidates pretty nervous, given how many independents we have here and the overwhelming Democratic affiliation compared to GOP between those who have voted in the primary.

You can see a great list of who is running in Ohio at Ohio Daily Blog and eyeball which GOP candidates may be most in danger due to the independent voters and Obama coattails.

Oh dear , hope I am not in those numbers, you see when the Democrats call I tell them I will vote for their candidate and when the Republicans call same thing and when an independent polling calls I tell them whatever I feel like saying at that moment…. You see I hate polls and calls and I don’t think I am alone think……especially ” will you vote for so and so this election” .I always say Yes….Oh dear and I have dumped all campaign literature, mute the adverts and I am a “BADDDDDDD Girl” so sorry if I as an Independent who was the only registered Independent in my ward for yonks has “queered” the polls :) but they probably take the people like me into account we are probably that 4 or 5 percent margin of error :)
