Maggie Thurber has received a few kudos for her work over the last year, but now she is up for a 2008 Weblog Award for Best Political Coverage by her blog, Thurber’s ThoughtsHere is Maggie’s post on this honor and you can go here to vote for her.  Her competition is tough because there are some popular blogs listed, though I really only read two of the others – India Uncut and Five Thirty Eight.

Good luck, Maggie. It’s great to have some positive political attention directed toward Ohio.

Thanks for doing this for Maggie, I can’t say I’m a fan of the whole Weblog thing, but if someone has to win, I’d like for it to be not only a blogger from Ohio but a female blogger from Ohio.

While I may not always agree with her, I will always support her as a blogger and she is helping to make our area a more informed one.

Thanks so much, Jill, for the added publicity. I must say that I really have no expectation of winning in this category, considering some of the other blogs on the list and their readership, but I’m grateful to Tom Blumer at Bizzyblog who nominated me and for the support I’ve gotten from the Ohio blogosphere.

We’re very fortunate in Ohio to have such good blogs representing all the political perspectives.
