    Good on Kaptur.

    Paulson and Bush conducted the biggest bait and switch scam ever, and did so during the heat of the presidential campaign.

    Everyone was told that “toxic mortgages” needed cleared out in order for lending to flow again. Everyone believed THAT was where the bailout money would be applied.

    Then Paulson, unilaterally, decided to buy bank stock instead…..allowing CEO salaries and bonuses to continue unobstructed. If the toxic paper would have been bought up by the feds, CEO’s would have had their bonuses restricted.

    Shame on the shameless Bush administration…and shame on Congress for, once again, trusting the shameless Bush administration.
