I actually have a strong belief in an effective and honest opposition party, maybe that’s why I find Palin offensive. Considering these are the Republicans, maybe she’s a swell idea – for the Democrats.

Yes – I totally agree!! There was an interesting article I read tonight but I forget where – but it was about the Alaska state legislators being a bit down about how much less access and face time they feel they have with Palin now – it wasn’t a nasty or snarky piece, it was sincere re: they feel that she’s become less focused on their needs and changed how she’s dealt with the state legislators in the past. So it doesn’t sound like she really wants to give up the spotlight – if anything, she’s building a foundation for the future, I would guess.

I didn’t say a word about her – those are all her own words.

But to be fair, I know you’ve not liked much of the coverage over the months, but I’m not sure why you wonder why bloggers would write about her. She’s been saying quite a lot herself, beyond just the Esquire interview – I don’t see why a blogger who really wanted to spend time on her should be admonished for doing so – she just started a PAC after all – those require attention in order to raise money.

I am being sincere – do you really think she is off limits for some reason?
