I cannot sum up the #Amazonfail situation any better than this post at Lilith Saintcrow. Hattip to Deanna Zandt for the link to that post.

Does anyone have experience with what people are describing? What is your opinion of what’s happening?

Dawno. :) Warming my heart seeing your name and imagining the sparkly ears. :)

Thanks for the link – the whole thing sounds totally farkhadt as we say.

One critical part of the Amazon glitch story seems to be when they say “it’s not a NEW policy” — it sounds like it’s a long-standing policy that was mostly kept quiet, and suddenly there’s a glitch that is getting it applied far more quickly.

Or they’re just desperately spinning the whole thing, who knows :)

Either way, I’ve never been a fan of Amazon, and now I’m certainly never going to use them again. Powells is my online bookseller of choice.

Actually nothing is missing and or censored on the site, so is the whole thing then just hearsay? Changes in policy do not change back that fast do they? Glitches usually get resolved quickly don’t they? Forced them to change the policy back? Or drew attention to the glitch? If there even was one at all?

Could it be the Amazon best seller that has them upset? Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto.

Oh Amazon…your such a bastion of conservatism.
