Pepper Pike’s website has posted a link to a pdf flyer with information about the annual ice cream social.  I’ll do another Facebook event to remind people as the date gets closer, but here’s the information:

Pepper Pike Ice Cream Social Event
Sunday, August 23rd
2.00 p.m – 4.00 p.m.

Please join us for a wonderful afternoon of fun and frolic.
Events include:

  • Dog and Bike Parade to commence at 2.30 p.m.
  • “Name that Place” contest. Everyone can participate.
  • Music by The Final Edition.
  • Miss Bee and The Flower Clown will be entertaining the children.
  • Drawings for Prizes will begin at 3.30 p.m.
  • Ice Cream will be provided by Mitchell’s Ice Cream
  • Fruit Smoothies are courtesy of Trader Joe’s.

Although it’s not listed there, the Pepper Pike Community Band is scheduled to perform at 4pm, according to another page on the city website.

I served on the Ice Cream Social Committee for a few years.  Being on the committee was a great way to meet residents and neighbors, but the event itself also has been a lot of fun, with animal shelters bringing cats and dogs, activities for kids, music and, of course, ice cream.
