Done. For a couple reasons:

Anyone who has not campaigned doesn’t know what a complete nightmare it actually is.

Now that you’ve won the really hard part start, constituents with needs/wants and not a lot of patience. Lots of blame available and not much credit.

I have personal knowledge of the first part and good friends who are or have been Councilors and Mayors.
